Our reasons for turning to therapy are as individual as we are as human beings. Some people come to therapy with a very specific and known challenge that they want to get to grips with or overcome. Others feel a more general sense of unease, something not being right in their life, even though they can’t quite put their finger on it. They should be happy and yet somehow they are not.

Friends and family can provide invaluable support and understanding, but therapy can offer a unique space in which you can safely share your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment, rejection or having to worry about how your friend or family member may receive your sharing. It is rare to be listened to like this. For many, therapy is the first time they experience being fully seen and heard, with unconditional acceptance and compassion.

Whatever your reason for considering therapy, I am committed to embarking on this exploration with you, helping you gain a better understanding of yourself and any challenges you may be facing.

Finding the right therapist for you is key. It is important that you feel comfortable and safe in their presence, which will allow you to explore the difficulties that have led you to therapy. As a first step, I hope this site provides you with an idea of who I am and how I work and if you have any questions, do get in touch.
